Where do we park?
Please take advantage of the complimentary valet service directly in front of The Shops of Highland Park. They will park your car and you will be right next to the carriage pickup!
Where do we meet to get on the carriage for the Highland Park Holiday Carriage Tour?
The Shops of Highland Park: 4200 Oak Lawn Ave, Highland Park TX. We load IN FRONT of the shops in front of the breezeway that is next to Coupes Champagne bar!
Do you provide tours during November around Thanksgiving?
At the request of our returning guests, we are pleased to offer tours in November. While these tours are every bit as fun and memorable, please note that, as with any tour, we cannot guarantee the number of holiday lights that will be displayed or illuminated at that time. The early weeks of our season are perfect for families who wish to enjoy the Whitehaven experience together during Thanksgiving, creating special memories ahead of the Christmas season.
What size carriages do you provide?
Number of guests are 4, 6, 9, or 12 maximum capacity. We will be enforcing our carriage capacity rules this year. Please be aware that for instance if you have the 12 person carriage you will only be allowed 12 people plus two babies UNDER 2 years old on the carriage. Any additional people will be turned away.
What can I bring on the carriage with me?
Blankets, Snacks, and drinks with lids are welcomed. Blankets are NOT provided.
Do you have restrooms on site for carriage goers that don’t have restaurant reservations?
Yes! Since we are a seasonal resident of The Shops of Highland Park we have provided a luxury restroom trailer facility just behind the shops. Clean, flushable, wash your hands, powder your nose. Nothing but the best for our guests! Please take advantage of the facility when touring with us.
Do you offer refunds if we change our minds?
We only work for 30 days to provide for our holiday fleet of horses and maintain our holiday carriage fleet. So we ask that you understand our cancelation policy. We do not refund any ride after October 31st! You can sell your ticket or we can remove your ride from the schedule and if the slot rebooks we can then issue a refund. If it does not book we will not issue a refund.
What route do you take?
We tour the residential streets of Highland Park. The main streets are Lomo Alto, Armstrong, Douglas, Versailles near Flippen Park, some carriages will go on the Lakeside side of our route and the surrounding streets. Each tour could be slightly different depending on traffic and the stride of the horse.
