We are so happy you found us and if you are returning we are so grateful you’re back. We are Whitehaven. We do our Thanksgiving and Christmas tours in the nostalgic town of Highland Park at The Shops of Highland Park at 4200 Oaklawn Ave. We have multiple size carriage and trollies that run at different times slots. Check them out in the “Book Now” tab.

PLEASE NOTE: We do have tours in November at the request of our return guests. These tours are still just as fun and exciting however just like any tour we can not guarantee the amounts of lights that are displayed or lit up. The first couple of weeks of our tours are for families that want to spend time with their families with Whitehaven during the Thanksgiving time instead of Christmas.

CARRIAGE CAPACITY:

We will be enforcing our carriage capacity rules this year. Please be aware that for instance if you have the 12 person carriage you will only be allowed 12 people plus two babies UNDER 2 years old on the carriage. Any additional people will be turned away.

LOCATION:

The Shops of Highland Park: 4200 Oak Lawn Ave, Highland Park TX

LOADING:

We load IN FRONT of the shops in front of the breezeway that is next to Coupes Champagne bar!

WHAT TO BRING:

Blankets, snacks, drinks with lids, your playlist for bluetooth speakers and your holiday spirit. Be sure to get a quick hot chocolate, coffee, or drink at THE MINT! DON’T FORGET Whitehaven does sell champagne flutes with complementary champagne as well as custom wine glasses. You can add your 3D holiday themed glasses and Freeze Dried Candy at checkout as well!

CARRIAGE ETIQUETTE:

Please make sure there are not any spills as the next guests do not want to sit on a wet seat or your used food. Please keep you feet on the floor as you may have stepped in horse urine, poop, or God knows what and we do not want that on our cushions and nor does the next guest want to sit in that. :)

Please be on time as we can not interrupt the next guests ride to add to your time. Please remain seated at all times.

TICKETS:

When booking, the term, “ticket”, refers to the carriage itself. So if you purchase a “ticket for one” 12 person carriage then you have a ticket for that carriage capacity.

RESTROOMS ONSITE FOR WHITEHAVEN GUESTS:

Since we are a seasonal resident of The Shops of Highland Park we have provided a luxury restroom facility just behind the shops. Clean, flushable, wash your hands, powder your nose. Nothing but the best for our guests! Please take advantage of the facility when touring with us.

REFUNDS:

We only work for 30 days to provide for our fleet of horses and maintain our carriage fleet. So we ask that you understand our cancelation policy.

We do not refund any ride 20 days prior to the scheduled tour. We will work with you if you are needing to cancel last min due to illness. You can sell your ticket or we can remove your ride from the schedule and if the slot rebooks we can then issue a refund. If it does not book we will not issue a refund.

Route:

We tour the residential streets of Highland Park. The main streets are Lomo Alto, Armstrong, Douglas, Versailles near Flippen Park, some carriages will go on the Lakeside side of our route and the surrounding streets. Each tour could be slightly different depending on traffic and the stride of the horse.
